Flora writes of her experiences volunteering at an artificial limb clinic in La Paz - the same clinic in Bolivia we donate funds to via our You Move Me Project. A lot of the patients at the clinic have either made do with homemade limbs for years – limbs made from wood, cardboard and metal, that cause pain and don’t support their bodies correctly – or they’ve simply learnt to cope without a leg instead.
