What makes evolution different and what difference does it make to you?

This weekend we held our annual evolutionary retreat - the chance for all our lead trainers, second trainers, new recruits, and outside consultants to come together and share the year that was and the year that will be.

It is exciting to see what has occurred and the number of goals we have kicked thanks to our amazing group of clients and trainers.

The pivotal milestones of the last 12 months:

  • moving into our new evo HQ in Darling Point (open invitation to join us for a cup of tea on the terrace whenever you like)

It feels great to finally have a real office space and one totally conducive to taking evolution to the next level. It has heaps of space for all our trainers, desks for them if they want to come and work at us and the capacity to hold events and workshops as well.

  • Tom being able to join the business full time:

This has been four years in the making and finally happened in June this year. Having Tom available to focus all his efforts on his evolution passion will be extraordinary for the business and it has already started. Our new look email newsletter went out for the first time last week. At present Tom is focusing on creating a system of education for the trainers that will enable all of us to communicate with one another and deliver the ultimate evolution experience in all locations. He is also focusing on events, social stuff and new class options

  • Opening in Melbourne

Melbourne was our third state to open and it was great to see both our interstate lead trainers at this years retreat. Amy from Brisbane and Hayley from Melbourne. Many years ago, when I conceptualized the evolution vision i said that one day people will be sitting at a dinner party table and the conversation will not be "what exercise do you do" ins tread it will be "which evolution KLIK do you belong to" we are incrementally turning that vision into reality and in Spring, in addition to our interstate KLIK's we will also be opening new groups in the North and Inner West of Sydney

  • Launching the new 7 and 9am time slots

Our belief in morning exercise extended to 7 and 9am this year. Now that we have anchored our 6am slots we can look toward the other slots for those whose lifestyles do not allow early morning training or who have the flexibility to train slightly later. So far we have launched in Coogee, Bondi, Bronte and Balmoral with more to follow

  • Being debt free, cash flow positive and becoming profitable for the first time and seeing Bronte, Rushcutters, Maroubra, Rozelle, and Coogee all achieve the same kind of success as our Bondi flagship group

It is a privilege to be able to do what you love doing for a job and I feel blessed being a part of it. That blessing becomes even more significant when you are able to turn it into a profitable business and see it deliver both personal and financial satisfaction to all its key stakeholder. Our trainers all pour their hearts and souls into their groups so it is great to see them experiencing the the financial benefits as well.

Onward and upwards,

Mike and Tom
